Presented by:

Seena Drapala, GE Power Systems

Ms. Drapala will discuss the project management techniques used in achieving "Problem to Product in Six Weeks". She will use a project for robotics development as her example, thus focusing on project management in an engineering environment. She will touch on many of the Project Management Knowledge areas in PMBOK, as they relate to this particular robotics development and illustrate how the competition provides lessons applicable to any project management challenge.

Seena Drapala is currently a Quality Engineer with GE's Power Systems business and has over twenty-five years experience in the Power Generation business and with GE. She has experience in project management, risk management and quality. Seena has been a co-leader for the GE Women's Network Schenectady Hub representing over 600 professional women from a variety of fields for the past two years. She was also instrumental in organizing the NYS Capital District Society of Women Engineers Professional Section. As a Union College Mechanical Engineering graduate she now sits on their Industrial Advisory Council. For fun she mentors kids at Girls Incorporated and the Capital Region FIRST Robotics team.
