ESI International, a renowned Project Management training company, is hosting our first session this season. Today's business landscape changes daily. Corporations and businesses are realizing that in order to achieve their business objectives and cultivate a project management environment, a higher level of project management is required. These organizations recognize the importance of nurturing and developing master project management skills, knowledge and competency for continuous performance improvement. One mechanism that organizations are embracing is the concept of master project manager development. Master project manages take a more holistic approach to their jobs, focusing not just on the tactical details, but also on the implications for the enterprise as a whole. Put another way, they are able to maintain the strategic vision while accomplishing the tactical work. Average-performing project managers, on the other hand, tend to be more linear in their approach. The presentation will provide background and guidance on developing a master project manager capability that focuses on this long-term strategic view.

James Barnard has more than 26 years experience in senior project and program management in government and commercial arenas. He has provided successful and effective leadership on projects involving product development and implementation, information technology and systems integration.
