As more and more companies are becoming project-based, company executives are realizing that experienced and effective Project Managers are the key to achieving their business objectives. The question for companies is what competencies and skills are necessary for a qualified and successful Project Manager? Beyond the PMBOK, what skills are necessary to become a "Master Project Manager"?

James Barnard has more than 25 years experience in senior project and program management. He has provided successful and effective leadership on projects involving product development and implementation, business process reengineering, information processing and systems integration.

Mr. Barnard is currently the Vice President, ClientSolutions. His responsibilities include assisting corporate clients with the planning and implementation of enterprise-wide performance improvement initiatives. His background includes experience as Deputy Director, IBM Programs and assisting in the management of curriculum development of core project management courses for IBM including Advanced Scheduling and Project Management Applications.
