Fall 2012 Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification Preparation Workshop
Due to the continued interest on the part of the Chapter membership, we have scheduled a Fall session of this test prep workshop. The session is considered full with the registration of 20 participants.
- When: Thursdays beginning on September 6th and ending on November 15th, from 6:00-9:00pm. The final schedule and details will be distributed at the class
- Where: NTT Data (formerly known as Keane) has graciously agreed to host our sessions. Their offices are located at: 18 Corporate Woods Blvd, 2nd floor, Albany, NY 12211.
- Cost:
- $500 - Upstate NY Chapter Members
- $650 - Non-members
- The fee includes a student binder with copies of the presentation slides, a copy of the most recent Rita Mulcahy’s PMP Exam Prep Guidebook which covers the PMBOK V4 material and a hard copy of the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) V4. Additionally, you will be eligible to receive a $50 rebate when you take, and pass, the PMP test within one year of participating in the Workshop.
While attendance at all of the sessions is not required, attending all eleven sessions will give you 33 of the 35 hours of professional development required to complete the application to take the Exam. Chapter PMP’s have volunteered to facilitate the sessions, offering first hand exam knowledge, as well as their valuable experience as project managers in local organizations.
Participation in the UNY PMP Prep Workshop program is not a guarantee that you will successfully complete the Project Management Professional certification exam. Students should plan to spend 100-150 additional hours outside of the class to complete their study, depending on their level of experience with formal PM methodology.
Students should have a solid foundation in project management and it is expected that each student has already accumulated the experience requirements and most of the educational requirements to be eligible to take the exam.
If you are interested in registering for the Fall 2012 PMP prep class, please send an email to the address listed below. You will not be considered registered until payment has been received. Please note that seats are available on a first come, first serve basis.
