Do you understand the requirements to obtain Project Management Professional (PMP) certification? Are you interested in becoming a PMP? Once achieved, do you know what you must do to maintain your certification? Do you want to learn more about the benefits of certification and the role of the Project Management Institute?

This month we are having a special guest from PMI International to talk with us about certification/recertification requirements and the benefits of being a member of PMI.

Paul has been at PMI since August 1997. Prior to his appointment he served as Executive Director of Association Management Services based in Raleigh NC. AMS is a full-service association management company that specializes in certification management and consulting. Paul's undergraduate and graduate degrees are from West Virginia University. He has been involved with certification and licensing programs nationally for approximately 20 years.

He has served as President of the National Organization for Competency Assurance, and as Chair of the National Commission for Certifying Agencies in Washington, DC. He now makes his home in Media, Pennsylvania.
