The GE Corporation has enjoyed record growth in productivity, margins and profitability since the deployment of the "Six Sigma" concept and methodology. Our guest speaker, Dr. Joseph Erkes, will outline the approach GE used to do this, as well as some of the benefits that can accrue from the adoption and implementation of Six Sigma.
Dr. Erkes is a retired GE executive with several decades of experience managing the development of software systems for the GE Manufacturing Technology Laboratory at GE's Research and Development Center. In his last assignment at GE, Dr. Erkes was a Master Black Belt responsible for training hundreds of GE R&D Center employees in Six Sigma and in supervising his students' first Six Sigma business applications. Dr. Erkes received a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Joseph's University and Masters and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Illinois.
