Annual Construction Tour

Yes, it is time once again for our annual site visit. This year, we have another exiting evening planned (complete with hard hats required). As always, we will first visit the job site and meet for dinner after. You should plan to arrive for the tour between 5:00 pm and 5:10 pm. Tour will start promptly at 5:15 pm and end at approx. 6:15 pm. We will meet back at Shaker CC for dinner at 6:45.

Our construction tour lead is Mike Hanley, who works for Envision Architectures. The facility is a new $56M state-of-the-art Center for Medical Sciences Research that consolidates the strengths of several local institutions within one 150,000 sq ft, five story world class facility. More information about the project is attached.

Directions are: From 87 take exit 23 to 787N, Exit onto Rt 20 Westbound, Follow about 2 miles to New Scotland Ave, Job site one mile up on left behind armory building. The address is 150 New Scotland Ave, Albany.

To participate in the tour, you will need to bring a signed release form (also attached). It basically says you will not sue the owner of the building if you get hurt. If you have a hard hat, please bring it. We will also have more hard hats and release forms on hand that evening. Remember to be on time, arriving prior to 5:15. You will not be able to find us once we get started.
