Earned Value Management (EVM) provides an "early warning" capability tool that enables the identification and control of problems before they become irrecoverable. This presentation describes the essential elements of an EVMS, how earned value data is developed how it can be used to provide early visibility into schedule, cost and technical performance. It describes the basic EVM processes and various analytical methods that have been proven to provide accurate ranges schedule and cost at completion forecasts based on performance to date.
Mr. Wrisley, President, has 35 years experience in the field of program/project management, with special emphasis in Earned Value Management Systems. Mr. Wrisley has managed many systems design, implementation, and training engagements for clients performing on major aerospace, defense, energy and commercial projects. These projects included requirements for performance management systems that were fully responsive to the ANSI/EIA-748A, EVMS, and its predecessor, the Cost/Schedule Control Systems Criteria. He has consulted to Northrop-Grumman, Vought Aircraft Industries, Westinghouse, CH2M Hill, Battelle Memorial Institute, the U.S. Army, MK-Ferguson, AT&T, Lucent Technologies, ITT Corporation, Kaiser Engineers, Lockheed-Martin, the Australian Defence Force Academy, the Canadian Department of Defence, and many more.
