In 2002, more than $2 billion dollars of new R&D investment was made in New York's Capital Region. The investment includes funding for nano-technology, biotechnology and other related research and development. In turn, investment in these areas will help to propel the Region's economy as those employed in these areas will work, live and play throughout the Capital Region. The areas of tech focus where CEG anticipates growth include nano-technology, information technology, biotechnology, and advanced materials and energy. Dave will talk about CEG and the steps that have been taken to lead up to this growth. He will also touch on why these industries will consider a location in Tech Valley.
As Senior Vice President, Dave is a member of CEG's senior leadership team managing State and Federal Government Relations, senior level oversight of the Regional Development Strategic Initiative, and oversees the operations of the Technology Council.
