Risk Management: The Normans Kill Landslide/Delaware Ave Reconstruction
Wednesday, March 21, 2001
Presented by:
Mark Silo, P.E., NYSDOT &
William D Simcoe, P.E., PMP, Albany Water Board
Everyone remembers the landslide in Delmar last year. To address this high visibility, unplanned and high risk clean up project was a challenge for the people responsible for the reconstruction effort.
From each of their perspectives, the presenters will review their experiences on this project. They will discuss interesting aspects of Project Management for the reconstruction effort, including Emergency Management, Compressed Time Schedule, Construction Contracts, Incentive/Disincentive Clauses, Special Materials Procurements, and Special Resources (e.g., helicopters).
