Eileen S. Armstrong-Guile, PMP

As a Project Manager is there anything you can learn from Six Sigma? Are there similarities and differences? What is a SIPOC and why is it an important visual tool? How can your stakeholders help you? Did you know that six sigma projects start out without solutions? Did you know six sigma projects are data intensive and use statistics? I will answer these questions and more.

About Eileen:

Eileen has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and a Masters in Project Management from George Washington. She worked at Nynex (now Verizon) and Teleport before it was acquired by AT&T. She was Operations Manager (in charge of the buildings, electronics and outside fiber for Classic AT&T) for the Northeast Area which included Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island and parts of Massachusetts and New York. Ready for a change, she decided to try for a Six Sigma Black Belt. Eileen is an active member in the Upstate New York PMI chapter. She most recently was the VP of Membership and has also served as the VP of Education.

Eileen received her Black Belt certification in February 2010 with a project that reduced the Classic AT&T Metro Jeopardy Codes from 5,592 to 49 for the technicians in the field. The project increased the accuracy from 56% to 97%.
