Our chapter has joined with the to host our next program focusing on:
1) Organizational Development - what is the right organizational structure to optimize change management and what processes need to be in place to optimize change management.
2) What skills will people need during and after the change management process takes place (what training and development will be needed to give people these skills).
3) How can Managers facilitate change (i.e. what is management's role in the process).
Mike Donovan has spent most of his state government career working in the field of information technology. He’s held the position of IT Director for the NYS Department of Transportation as well as the New York State Police. Mike is currently with the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) where he works closely with the State CIO and Deputy CIO to coordinate activities of the CIO Council and its Committees.
Mike is a member of the Center for Technology in Government’s advisory committee and active in the New York State Forum for Information Management where he served as Executive Committee chair in 2003-2004. Mike is a past board member of the Upstate New York Project Management Institute and is a frequent speaker on project management for information technology.
Mike has a BS in Civil Engineering and an MS in Transportation Engineering from
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
