This lecture serves as good-natured rebuttal to assertions, among Project Management practitioners and Agile proponents, that PMBOK, CMM, and other structured process project management approaches are incompatible with Agile project management. This lecture asserts PMBOK’s independence from software development, clarifies the PMBOK stance on development life cycles, explores Agile’s potential for improved productivity, and articulates Agile’s project management limitations.

Jeff Nuding is a Senior Principal Consultant with Keane and certified PMP since 2001. Jeff presented at PMI Global Congresses in 2003, 2007, and 2008. Jeff manages platform implementations, network, critical system infrastructure, and systems integration projects at the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services.
